Web & Database Marketing Manager – Toronto (16 month term)
Salary Grade Level 10

ESRI Canada is seeking a motivated, professional individual to provide day-to-day management of the Corporate Web & Database Marketing Department.  This will include providing essential database marketing and strategy support related to ESRI Canada’s CRM, serving as the marketing domain expert for all CRM.  This position requires an experienced marketing professional with strategic and tactical skills in creating, implementing and managing marketing programs and campaigns.

Based out of the Corporate Head Office in Toronto and reporting directly to the Director of Marketing the successful candidate will provide leadership and operational management of the corporate marketing team

Web & Database Marketing Manager responsibilities include:
  • Participate in ESRI Canada’s new CRM strategic planning process, acting as the marketing project lead for requirements gathering, synthesis and analysis, ensuring that marketing needs and requirements are addressed in the new CRM selection and implementation process
  • Gather and manage the requirements for a customer email opt-in/preference centre program for ESRI Canada email communication as part of the new CRM
  • Develop strategic direction, data processing protocols and documented procedures for marketing data collection, input, analysis, output and maintenance
  • Oversee the lead entry process within the marketing team
  • Establish an internal working group to define standards, business processes and policies for leads and CRM data entry
  • Based on the working group, document and communicate lead processing and data entry policies to the Sales team (training)
  • Spearhead data cleanup initiatives in the current CRM, based on new policies, to ensure clean data is available for import into the new CRM
  • Manage the development and execution of ESRI Canada’s Web strategy for internal and external Web sites and Web/email based communications to drive qualified sales leads and awareness in our target industries
  • Oversee Web site development, design and maintenance, liaising with internal groups such as IT when conceptualizing/managing Web sites and related projects to ensure accurate development and implementation for Web marketing strategies and policies
  • Lead the development and distribution of all internal and external e-communications including email invitations/notices, eNewsletters and online ad/landing page content, from planning to execution and measurement
  • Provide leadership and operational management for the implementation and promotion of online events including Web Seminars
  • Manage and monitor projects to ensure deliverable deadlines, brand standards and budgets are met
  • Liaise with regional and national sales maintaining a high level of communication and awareness of sales and marketing strategies and directions throughout the company
Specific skill requirements:
  • University degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years experience in B2B Marketing with a focus on Marketing database/CRM strategy, implementation and management
  • Experience in Web marketing including tactical Web marketing and e-communication skills
  • Proven knowledge and experience in managing or supervising staff in a customer focused environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Highly motivated individual with a “can-do” attitude

  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with extremely tight deadlines
